Pom-Pom Bow

A lush pom-pom bow sets expectations high — especially when tied in fine satin. And a gift chosen with care will surely live up to them. So go for it: let the queen of bows create some truly radiant smiles!

Instructions

You will need:

• approx. 120 cm of decorative ribbon
• approx. 50 cm of tie ribbon (slightly narrower)
• scissors
• pins

Tying the bow:

1. Begin by winding the decorative ribbon completely around your hand to create approximately 7 to 8 loops.
2. Make sure the loops lie as neatly on top of one another as possible.
3. Pinch them together at the centre.
4. Fold them in half.
5. Carefully cut off both corners along the fold edge.
6. This trick prevents the tie ribbon from slipping and keeps all the loops the same size, even if you pull on them a little.
7. Now unfold the two loop ends back out.
8. Secure the whole bundle at the centre with a pin.
9. The easiest way to attach the tie ribbon is to lay it flat first, then place the bundle of loops across it.
10. To tie it together, simply make a firm double knot.
11. You can now remove the pin and pull the individual loops apart. If any ribbon ends are sticking out visibly, trim them neatly at the end. Tip: the pom-pom bow requires a little patience and a gentle touch. Take your time shaping the loops until the bow looks full and even. It is well worth the effort!
12. The finished pom-pom bow can be attached to your gift just as it is, whether it is a box or a bottle. Simply place it on the desired spot and tie the ribbon ends in a knot on the back.
