Single-Loop Bow

A single-loop bow can be made in no time at all and works perfectly even for the most inexperienced ribbon maker. Yet it is anything but boring: because this understated bow is so rarely seen, it effortlessly becomes a distinctive highlight. Use it to show off an elegant ribbon at its very best!

Instructions

You will need:

• approx. 50 cm of decorative ribbon

Tying the bow:

1. Wrap the decorative ribbon around a bottle.
2. Cross the two ends over each other and carefully lift off the loop that has formed.
3. Reach down through the loop from above and take hold of the upper ribbon.
4. Pull it upward to create a new loop, then draw the first loop tight into a knot.
5. Attaching the bow to a gift: to attach the single-loop bow directly to a bottle, take the ribbon and tie it around the neck of the bottle with a simple double knot. Now loosely cross the two ribbon ends, reach down through the loop from above, and pull the upper ribbon through.

Packages and letters can be decorated in exactly the same way.
